At Grace Church, Fellowship is a Big Deal!  We love to build connection, have fun and eat food together!  Our community offers many ways to engage in connection, support and fellowship. Our volunteer Fellowship Ministry Team and other ministry teams help coordinate many of these activities.

Please explore some of the ways we often engage in fellowship throughout the church year.   If you see something that speaks to you, or if you can lend your hands, reach out to the Fellowship Committe (fellowship.committee@gracealex.org) to get involved, help make stuff happen, and have fun!

Foyer Groups

Sometime during the week?

Small groups of parishioners, including married couples and singles, meet monthly for dinner in homes, the church, restaurants, parks, or other venues, decided by each Foyer Group. It is a great way to get to know people and put names together with faces!  There are also Foyer Groups for families with children.

Receptions, Parties, Special Events

Throughout the year

Grace Church enjoys receptions, parties, and special events for a variety of occasions and celebrations, including our world famous Easter Vigil Agape Feast!  Volunteers are needed to set up, bring food, work in the kitchen, and clean up.

Chili Bowl

Sunday before the Super Bowl

It’s not the Rose Bowl, the Fiesta Bowl, or even the Orange Bowl. It’s the Chili Bowl, a unique event that promises not only fellowship and fun but also a hearty serving of delicious chili, making it a one-of-a-kind gathering for chili enthusiasts.

Annual Picnic

Beginning of Summer

Each year, to welcome summer and mark the change from our parish education year, we have a family picnic on the grounds behind the church.

Shrine Mont Parish Retreat

First weekend after Labor Day

Grace Church members join the yearly retreat at Shrine Mont, near Orkney Springs, Virginia, for a weekend of worship and fun. Activities start Friday afternoon and end Sunday post-lunch. Registration is open all summer.”
