Discipleship – Christian Education

Grace Church offers many opportunities for Christian Education on Sundays and weekdays throughout the year, especially during our Christian Education hour at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings during the school year.

Children & Youth

Grace Church offers many opportunities for children and youth to learn, play, and grow in their relationships with God and their neighbors. Our children and family ministries program includes Sunday School, Children’s Chapel, Youth Programs, nursery, and many special events throughout the year.

Grace Church offers a full array of programs for children and youth, providing opportunities for all ages to explore the mystery of God’s presence in our lives, to hear God’s invitation for spiritual experience, to listen for what God is saying, and to make authentic and creative responses to God’s call in our lives. And to have fun!!

A professionally staffed nursery is available on Sunday mornings for children six weeks to 2 years old.  Children’s Chapel introduces children beginning at age 3 to the Way of Jesus’ Love in a special worship session Sunday mornings just for them.  Our littlest worshippers might also enjoy participating in Little Church, a Sunday worship service especially catered to our youngest members!

Sunday School is by age group for the elementary school set.  Middle schoolers and high schoolers participate in Rite 13, J2A, and EYC programs.  These youth also meet for dinner and evening activities monthly during the school year. There are also many special events appealing to children and youth throughout the year, which have included our Christmas Pageant, Trunk-or-Treat, Chili Bowl cook-off, holiday celebrations, and trips to the Diocese of Virginia’s Shrine Mont Camp.
